Your Questions About Plantar Warts Home Remedies

Donald asks…
Are there any home remedies I can use for my plantar’s warts?
I have a couple plantar‘s warts on my one foot and i don’t know how to get rid of them. Any ideas on how I can?

Brian answers:
Do an internet search on “warts tagamet”. You’ll be amazed.
It turns out that Tagamet, an over the counter stomach medicine, is one of the best cures for warts. It’s been studied and tested and tested. Unfortunately, Tagamet is a generic and there is no profit to be had in getting through the FDA hurdles to get it relabeled for warts.
There are few side effects, it’s just a pill and painless.
It is a real testament to our medical system that we have this cure available and no one can talk about it.

David asks…
Are there any home remedies to take out a plantar wart?
I’ve had one before, and went to a podiatrist. I have no health insurance and can’t afford to go to him again. I’ve tried corn removers, and tried digging it out. I did put an aspirin on it to prohibit growth, but it’s still there on my heel. Anyone know anything at home, or something OTC that is inexpensive?

Brian answers:
Apple cider vinegar is an inexpensive home remedy that works for many people to remove planters warts.
For this simple procedure, the removal of warts using apple cider vinegar requires just 3 things:
•Apple Cider Vinegar
•Cotton balls (end of Q-tip will do)
•Band-aid
Each nigh before going to bed soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar, apply it to the wart and then hold it in place with a band-aid. Leave it on 24 hours a day but change the soaked cotton and band-aid each evening for a week.
The wart will swell and throb a little as it reacts with the vinegar and then start to turn black within the first two days and after a week or two will be completely gone.

Home Remedy treatments for Plantar Warts?
Please, I have a plantar wart which grew under my left foot near the small toe. Any ideas on how to get rid of it? Its currently hurting and Im thinking to go to the Doctors and get it freezed. Before when i was 15, I had thousands of warts on my hands, but that went away by using THE ALMIGHTY DUCT TAPE. SSHould i use it on my wart? Any answer would be appreciated thanks.

Brian answers:
USE THE DUCT TAPE!!! It really works, just keep it on until it falls off, if the wart is not gone put another piece of tape on. There has even been some clinical studies done on how well it works…good luck!
Thuja, in a homeopathic ointment can be helpful as well.

Laura asks…
any home remedies for plantar wart?

Brian answers:
A plantar wart just means you have a wart on the plantar surface which means the bottom of your foot. They are just warts like any other, plantar just refers to location. OTC wart removers may help but any wart can easily be treated by a dermatologist.

Mandy asks…
How do I treat a plantar’s wart at home?
I have a *MASSIVE* plantar‘s wart (larger than a nickel) on the top of my toe and have been trying to treat it with a number of methods (including an at-home wart freezing kit from Dr. Scholl’s) and nothing’s working! It’s so gross I can’t wear sandals without being self-conscious. Does anyone know any home remedies to treat this? Help!

Brian answers:
How discouraging for summer. Thing is if it is on top of your toe it is not a plantars wart. Plantar means the bottom of the foot. I personally think the dermatologist is the best answer to any wart but aside form the over the counter choices you can try crushing an aspirin, regular aspirin not tylenol or ibuprofen, put it on the wart and cover with duct tape. Aspirin is salicylic acid which is what is contained in most OTC wart removers.

Lizzie asks…
I need REMEDIES/SUGGESTIONS for PLANTAR’S WARTS.?
I’m posting this particular topic to help an online friend who is in need of help for any remedies/suggestons for PLANTAR‘S WARTS.
If you have any remedies/suggestions, please feel free to post them in here or in my blog posting (http://360.yahoo.com/sue_dbb) in the comments. I appreciate that very much & will later pass the same to my friend. I’m very sure that she too will appreciate to know that there’s atleast remedies/suggestions for the said warts that’s been bothering her family recently.
The following is exactly what she’d posted in the group, word for word. No changes done.
“We seem to be having an outbreak in this house of Plantar‘s Warts. My son has several clusters on his feet, and now I seem to be getting them. We have tried all of the crappy in store remedies, and I am a little scared to have them burnt off. I was wondering if any of you had any home remedies.”
I’d appreciate if anyone can come forward with some remedies/suggestions. Pls HELP!!!

Brian answers:
You can find wart remove at a drug store, or like a target or wal-mart in the drug section. There is a tube with freezing air that will freeze them off. Not sure what it is called. This is what docs use for them. When you use the stuff from the store, you have to take the seed out of the wart. It is in the center of the wart and you have to dig a little for it. But when you take this out and use the wart cream or freeze stuff, then it will get rid of it. Maybe this is why they are not working. That “seed” is what keeps the wart “alive”. If she does not like this, she will have to go to the doctor, and all they will do is use the freezing air can on it.
Tell her to disinfect all of the shoes and the floors when they take care of them. Wart are obviously contagious, they are viral. And the plantar part only means that it is on the foot.

James asks…
how to get rid of a plantar warts?
like, can you cut it off or something? like i need home remedies to remove a plantar wart. i tried duct tape and it kept falling off so i need ways to remove it w/o duct tape…thanks!
yes, the ones on your feet…..

Brian answers:
You can remove warts by surgery, freezing, laser, acid or with cream but warts can reappear again and again because warts appears when your immune system is weak! So you must build up your immune system because your body can get rid of warts by itself if your immune system will be strong! So eat more healthy food, more vitamins and more sport activities!
HPV is the virus that causes warts. And HPV virus has many strains. In your case you have HPV virus strain number 2. People can be infected with HPV and never show any symptoms. Others will develop warts. These warts can stay the same size, grow, or go away on their own. It depends on the infected person’s immune system. A healthy immune system means your body may be able to suppress the virus and not show symptoms.
Also you should use some herbal treatment!
In that case Wartrol is a good (probably the best) product that gets rid of warts and makes you feel more confident knowing that they wont reappear again! It says that it is designed for Genital Warts but
it does not matter because warts are warts and wartrol works by stimulating your immune system to fight the HPV virus that causes the warts. Of course it is better if you use full course (5 months – if I remember correctly).
It worked and still works for me!
I do not know if any pharmacies carry Wartrol but I do know that you should purchase it directly from the manufacturer and read more about the product here http://www.wartrol.com/?aid=749165
good luck!

Nancy asks…
How to get rid of a plantar wart?
Okay so I think I am prone to illness. I have a plantar wart, a yeast infection, athletes foot, and pin worms. These all caused my mom to go buy something to fix it. She bought medication for everything except for the plantar wart but I don’t want her to go buy something to make it go away. Are there any at home remedies to make it go away?

Brian answers:
Salicylic acid. Using salicylic acid, a plantar wart treatment that you can purchase over-the-counter from your local drug store, you can remove a plantar wart in generally about four weeks. The process calls for daily application of acid to the wart, as well as rubbing of the dead skin from the wart.
Cryotherapy. It sounds like what they did to Ted Williams, and does involve freezing. In this case, doctors use liquid nitrogen to “freeze” your wart. They apply the liquid nitrogen directly onto the plantar wart using a spray-tip or cotton-tip applicator. If you’ve never experienced cryotherapy before, you might be struck by the sci-fi image of unearthly vapors rising from the nitrogen tank. For children, this method can be too painful and scary, and at any rate, it guarantees neither more nor less success than duct tape or acid treatments. If successful, however, you’ll get rid of that plantar wart faster.
Other natural remedies. You can learn a number of natural remedies for plantar warts, moles and skin tags in the excellent e-book Moles, Warts and Skin Tag Removal – this program is highly recommended, safe and fast!

Susan asks…
Need Help With Plantar Warts?
Hello. About a month ago I got 1 plantar wart on the side of my big toe. I ignored it for a bit, thinking it would go away. I went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago and he said to either use duct tape (which I read about) or he can cut it off after giving me an anesthetic. I said I’ll think about it. I went on the internet to search for home remedies and found one using white vinegar (at the time I didn’t have apple cider vinegar at home). So I followed instructions and put white vinegar on a cotton ball and taped that to my wart using a band aid. After a couple of days the wart didn’t change in size but instead of the lump being there, there’s now a hole and I can see the roots much clearer. Should this be happening? And once the roots are all gone what happens, do I just have that hole or? I’m going to buy apple cider vinegar tomorrow and switch to it instead of just plain vinegar.
Also, as many state, the wart should turn black. Mine didn’t I took out some roots myself using small nail clippers, and it become whiter. So am I doing it properly?
