Wart Surgery Recovery

Can 2 ppl who have had anal warts removed have unprotected sex (2nd attempt)?

I posted this yesterday but some did not read. We have ANAL warts not GENITAL warts. I know that we are both contagious, and like i wrote, we are commited to each other so that isn’t a concern right now. My question is are we able to have unprotected sex after surgery recovery (maybe a few months)? Will us both having the same thing cause any harm? We have had unprotected sex plenty of times so im sure we have passed the virus to each other already. Original question is below….

Both my partner and I have anal warts and are going to have them removed with surgery. Since we both have the virus, are we able to (after surgery recover time) go back to having sex without condoms? We are committed to each other so no need to worry about spreading HPV any further.

You can only get each strain of the HPV once, so as long as each of you remains faithful you cannot get reinfected with HPV. Go ahead and have all the sex you want.

Anal warts are the same thing as genital warts. They are caused by the same HPV strains.
