How the heck do I get rid of this plantar wart?? Arghhhh…?
I’ve had a plantar wart on my big toe for almost a year now and have tried everything to kill the darn thing! … freezing, salicyic acid, duct tape, cutting it off, tea tree oil and now some special oil treatment that I got at the health food store.
This thing has roots to China!!!!
What has worked for you? (on plantar warts… they’re different than normal, run of the mill warts.. They’re on the bottom of your foot and have deep roots)
Tell me what’s really worked … Not just what you’ve heard …
Thanks …
Only serious responses… No trolls!
Duct tape! It actually does work. It takes quite a long time, but absolutely nothing else worked for me. (And holy god, freezing hurts.)
You have to cover the area completely with duct tape and then make sure it stays on really well. If you can, try to leave it on for two days straight before you change it. And then put it back on as soon as you can. You have to keep it on constantly and for quite awhile, but it honestly will go away. I had a few: small and big ones, so I could see the smaller ones start to go away faster, but it’s a little hard to tell with the big ones, but you’ll have to give it a chance. I don’t remember how long it took with mine, but maybe give it a month. If you haven’t seen any changes then, it might not be working, but do try to give it a long time. Basically, the theory behind the duct tape is depriving the plantar wart of oxygen, so you have to try to suffocate it!
If you go to a hardware store, they make clear duct tape now, so it won’t look completely ridiculous if you have to take off your socks or something. But keep the duct tape on, even if it looks ridiculous. It’s worth it to make them go away! Good luck! I hate them, too!
