Salicylic Acid for Warts

Warts are generally benign and usually self-limiting lesions, but are often painful and can be quite debilitating. Warts usually resolve spontaneously within a two-year period in 60 percent of cases. While multiple treatments have been proposed over the years, there is no uniformly effective treatment for warts so therapy can often be difficult and unrewarding.

The most common treatment utilized is home therapy with a nonprescription salicylic acid preparation. Unfortunately, certain reports show that only two of five patients have success with salicylic acid. In the office, we commonly see patients who have already failed over the counter salicylic acid treatments.

One can apply salicylic acid as a gel, paint or cream in concentrations ranging from 10 to 60 percent. The effectiveness of this treatment varies greatly and is completely dependent on patient compliance and proper debridement of lesions. Using occlusion (moleskin or tape) increases the efficacy.

Be sure to confine the application strictly to the wart since salicylic acid does not discriminate between wart and healthy tissue. Complications can occur, especially when treating immunocompromised patients. Creating an aperture in a patch of moleskin and placing it over the wart allows a confined space for the application of the acid. One can subsequently cover the aperture with a bandage.

If the area becomes sensitive, decrease the frequency of application from daily to every third day. During the follow-up visit, you should pare the keratotic debris and nonviable tissue in order to determine if there is any remaining viable wart tissue. Nonviable tissue will appear white and macerated, and you should be able to easily debride it from healthy tissue.

Salicylic acid treatment can be advantageous with combination therapy. We rarely use salicylic acid as a monotherapy in the office unless we have it formulated by a pharmacist at a stronger strength than the 40 percent OTC preparations. However, we would only apply this increased strength in an office setting.

Many patients expect an immediate cure and are not interested in repeating salicylic acid. Therefore, it’s important to be aware of the alternative treatments for resistant warts. It is also important to inform patients that a series of treatments and great deal of patience are often required, regardless of the therapy. Patients may favor an individual treatment and may help with the decision-making process.

The effectiveness of medicinal plants for creating a cure for warts and other ailments has been recognized and documented in historical texts. Important research on the therapeutic effects of medicinal plants, including the efficacy of a plant-based cure for herpes and other treatments, was conveniently dismissed with the advent of chemical drugs in the 1930s.

With the partnership of the Rockefeller dynasty in the US, the petrochemical/pharmaceutical industry became a major economic force. Herbal medicine such as the natural cure for nail fungus lost out to synthetic pharmaceutical drugs, leaving a legacy of tens of thousands dead from side effects.

The profits of the pharmaceutical industry almost took precedence over the health of the people. However, there is now a new renaissance in plant medicine, which we are excited to be part of. This is even more important because modern medicine has not been able to provide effective remedies for many ailments.

Medicinal plants have been used for centuries and their therapeutic properties have been revealed during clinical observations. These properties have been validated through pharmacological tests on animals, isolated tissue samples and cell cultures, proving that medicinal plants provide outstanding results in healing the human system.

WartCure is comprised of certified organic medicinal plant extracts and certified organic antiviral essential oils that have been demonstrated to kill HPV in laboratory tests. Try Some Home Remedies Along With Conventional Treatment Of Genital Warts

Genital warts are caused by particular strains of human papillomavirus or HPV that enters the body during sexual intercourse with an infected partner. The virus infects the epidermis or the mucous membrane and then penetrates into the cells through microscopic abrasions that occur during sexual activities. It does not manifest into genital warts immediately, but can remain in latent stage for years without any outward symptoms. They can however, infect others even in that stage. Sometimes the body’s immune system clears them. If the virus manifests as warts, you need to take them seriously because if left untreated, they will enlarge and cause a lot of discomfort. However, there is no guaranteed cure for genital warts. Some has higher success rate than the others.

If warts are not treated soon, they flare up into cauliflower-like florets. Moreover, genital warts can be embarrassing and irritating due to its location not to speak of the pain, burning sensation and itching. Whether we treat the warts by freezing, burning with acid or treat it with laser therapy, after the treatment of genital warts, the following precautions must be taken:
1. Quit smoking and drinking because genital warts persists in people having these habits
2. Take multi-vitamins every day
3. Exercise
4. Drink as much water as possible
5. Have more fruits and vegetables
6. Stop the usage of scented soaps and vaginal deodorants as they irritate the warts.
7. Keep the genital area clean and dry
8. Use condom
9. Have immune renewal tonics to fight genital warts
10. In case of recurrence of genital warts try alternative treatment like homoeopathy or the natural approach.

Our diet must include yellow, red and orange fruits and vegetables. We should have carrots, corn, mangoes, tomatoes, dark green leafy vegetables, cabbage, lettuce, spinach, beans, peanuts and whole grains. This way the immune system will automatically improve and the chances of getting infected by genital warts would definitely reduce.

To test whether genital warts are malignant one should get a biopsy done. Pap smear tests should be done and the cervix must be treated with antibiotics.

However, if the warts are in some unreachable spot, you cannot use these creams and lotions. Then either you have to go for doctor-applied methods like cryosurgery, laser ablation, cauterization or surgical excision or you can take homeopathic or herbal oral medicines. If you opt for the latter, make sure that these oral medicines are FDI approved. Whatever methods you apply, you should try to raise your immunity level because that is only way to clear the Human papillomavirus. Pursue the following guidelines for a quicker recovery:
1. Good health is the key to a strong immune system. Lead a healthy life and eat a balance diet.
2. Exercise regularly to aid digestion of food.
3. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetable. Avoid junk food, which is toxic by nature.
4. Stop drinking and smoking because they produce lot of toxin in the body and reduce immunity.
5. Take multivitamin tablets regularly because lack of vitamins causes deficiency, which in turn reduces immunity.
6. Take a good immune booster tonic regularly.
7. Drink plenty of water to wash out the toxin materials that are produced everyday in the body.
8. Keep yourself clean.
9. Do not use scented soap or fancy douches and deodorants.
10. Use of condoms does not protect you totally, but can help to some extend. Consider taking Gardasil if necessary. Gardasil is a vaccine that has to be taken before being exposed to the threat.

In the treatment of genital warts the points to be taken into consideration are the preference of the patient, the location and size of the genital warts, the side-effects of the treatment, the cost factor and the experience of the physician. Based on all these factors the method of treatment should be decided. None of the treatments can get over in a single sitting. It involves a course of therapy. Since no single treatment can claim to be the best and the
effect of all treatments vary from person to person, it would be a good idea to forego the treatment at least for some time because sometimes, curiously, warts disappear on their own.

Before starting any treatment for genital warts have it diagnosed first. Make sure the tumour like growth is really genital warts and nothing else. In general, genital warts are not malignant, but if the warts persist, you may have tests like Pap smear done. Whatever mode of treatment you follow, stick to it for quite a few months. These things take time to go. Besides, abstain from sex, not only to protect your partner, but also to save the warts from irritation.

Cervical Cancer Medications

The most common chemotherapy medicines used for initial treatment or with radiation treatment in stage IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, and IVA include: Cisplatin, and Fluorouracil (5-FU). For advanced stage (stage IVB) cervical cancer or recurrent cervical cancer, the most common chemotherapy medicines used are: Mitomycin, Paclitaxel, and Ifosfamide.

Cisplatin is the medicine most often used in chemoradiation for cervical cancer. Topotecan has been approved to use with cisplatin for advanced cervical cancer. These drugs may be used when surgery or radiation cannot be done or are not likely to work. They can also be used for cervical cancer that has returned or spread to other organs.

Chemotherapy is used to shrink cervical cancer and decrease tumor growth. Chemotherapy may be used to treat later stages (stages II, III, and IV) of cervical cancer. It may be used alone or in combination with radiation (chemoradiation). Compared with radiation alone, chemoradiation improves survival. It is usually used as the primary therapy or after a hysterectomy.

Chemotherapy medicines may be taken by mouth (orally) or injected into a vein (intravenous, or IV). Chemotherapy is called a systemic treatment because the medicines enter the bloodstream and travel through the body to kill cancer cells. Chemotherapy may be given after surgery to try to kill any cancer cells that may remain, which is called adjuvant therapy.

Most chemotherapy will cause some side effects. Studies show that chemoradiation improves survival rates in stages IIB, IIIA, IIIB and IVA cervical cancer without significantly increasing the side effects of either treatment. Chemoradiation may also improve survival rates in stages IB and IIA for women with large tumors.

Extensive research and clinical trials have studied the different chemotherapy medicines used to treat cervical cancer. Some medicines are used routinely, and some are used in combination with others for greater effectiveness. Your oncologist will discuss and recommend chemotherapy treatment specific to your condition.

Cervical cancer and warts are both caused by HPV, of which almost 200 strains have been identified to date. More strains seem to be discovered year by year, creating a huge challenge for cervical cancer and warts cure treatments. Warts are named depending on the part of the body where they are located or description of the wart.

Warts present themselves as raised flesh-like brown or skin-colored growths. They can occur on any part of the body, are generally round in shape and can develop in clusters. Warts are extremely common, yet strangely amongst the most difficult conditions in dermatology to treat and eradicate. This makes the presence of a truly effective wart cure an important concern.

Fortunately, cures from reputable sources are usually equally effective for the different kinds of warts. Warts are classically treated with topical acid, or by freezing the tissue with liquid nitrogen. Freezing causes a blister, and as the blister heals the wart will hopefully come off with it. However, these cures for warts are not always successful.

In fact, warts may recur after using a common wart cure because of the activation of latent virus present in healthy skin adjacent to the lesion. Local skin reactions and pain are common adverse effects. More difficult warts may have to be surgically excised or burned off. Once surgical intervention or chemical acids are used one can expect a scar in that area.

WartCure is an all-natural topical warts cure treatment which exhibits a broad spectrum of action against HPV. It kills HPV and provides a curative effect against warts. It is comprised of certified organic medicinal plant extracts and certified organic antiviral essential oils that have been demonstrated to kill HPV in laboratory tests.

Users of WartCure generally experience rapid elimination of warts without scarring, tissue damage, or recurrence. This treatment is painless and delivers profound results to eliminate warts, returning skin tissue back to its original state prior to the onset of the infection. As this cure can effectively remove warts, cures like acid or surgical procedures may become a thing of the past.

The side effect of toxins introduced into your system as part of warts cures should not be taken lightly. If you are in need of a true legitimately all-natural warts cure treatment, WartCure is one of the most effective, trusted and safe cures for warts available. When treating the skin, please only apply an organic wart cure. To learn more, please go to http://www.bcured.net.

HOW TO REMOVE A PLANTAR WART medicine apply (part 4)

How Do I Treat Plantar Warts?

There are a variety of ways to treat plantar warts.  But before you consider treatment, ask yourself the following questions:

Is my plantar wart causing me any pain?  Do I find it difficult to walk, or play a sport?  Is the situation getting worse?  Is my wart getting bigger, or is the number of warts on the bottom of my feet multiplying?  Am I embarrassed by my plantar wart?  Am I worried about passing the virus on to other people?

If you answered no to the above questions, then you shouldn’t feel like you have to seek treatment at all.  Plantar warts are 100 percent harmless, and most warts go away all by themselves.  But you must be patient.  It can be months or even years before the wart is gone completely.

If you decide to take treatment, you have several options.  Generally warts can be treated at home using over-the-counter medications:

•    Salicylic Acid.  Check out your local drug store for salicylic acid plantar wart treatments you can administer at home by yourself, or with the help of a family member or friend.  The salicylic acid treatment can come in the form of a liquid or an adhesive patch.  It should be a forty percent solution.  The salicylic acid will cause the skin of the wart to peel off gradually.  The process usually takes about a month.  You can help the process along by removing the dead skin at home with nail clippers or a pumice stone.  Be careful not to damage the surrounding healthy skin.
•    Duct Tape.  Believe it or not, studies have proven that duct tape can be an extremely effective method for removing plantar warts.  Apply tape to the affected areas of your feet and let it remain there for six days.  On the seventh day, remove the tape, allow your feet to soak in warm water, and then remove the loosened and dead skin with a pumice stone.

For particularly aggressive or reoccurring warts, visit your doctor who can assist you with the following treatment:

•    Cryotherapy.  In this method, your doctor applies liquid nitrogen to your feet in order to “freeze off” the wart.  The skin will blister and eventually slough off.  You may need to have the treatment administered several times, and it can be painful.  There are also liquid nitrogen “kits” that you can find in most drug stores and that you can use to apply the treatment without a doctor at home.
