Bumps appearing on scrotum… help?
Hi. Over the past few days I have developed four bumps on my scrotum, pea-sized, whitish (but turns red when irritated), painless and no pus/drainage (although a little firm). I thought it could be an STD so I got tested and they said everything came back negative. Talked to two different doctors (one at the testing clinic and one just a regular family doctor). One thought it was herpes but the test results proved otherwise, the other thought they were just inflamed hairs (four at once?). I did some image searching online and my bumps are nowhere near as gruesome as these herpes and genital warts pictures, but they are still quite visible and its concerning that nobody really knows what they are. P.S. I am 18, was sexually active with one person (tested negative as well, and we have not had sexual contact since the bumps appeared) and have never had skin problems before (possible hereditary psoriasis from my mother?)
Please help me figure out what’s going on. Thank you.
They could be warts. They could also be foliculitis. Try washing them with Hibiclens–a special anti-bacterial soap you can get at a drug store or pharmacy.
