Removing Warts Tea Tree Oil

There are many types of treatments available for warts and in order to know which type of treatment is best for you it is also good to understand exactly what a wart is. First of all, they are symptoms of a disease called Human Papilloma Virus, or HPV. This virus infests the outer layer of human skin cells and causes small growths known as warts.
There are over 100 different types of HPV and each causes a different type of growth. Also, each form of the virus is contagious to varying degrees. If you want to avoid further outbreaks it is important not to rub or scratch them. Also, avoid coming in contact with another person’s warts.
Most members of the human population carry this disease but not everyone with the disease is prone to the growths that it causes. Without warts, it is very hard to diagnose someone with the virus. The good news for people with warts is that often times the outbreaks will go away on their own after varying periods of time.
Most warts do not require treatment but many people are embarrassed or discomforted by them. In order to take care of these growths there are a variety of different treatments and remedies. It is important to remember than any treatment should have two goals: 1) to remove the warts somehow, and 2) to prevent reoccurrences of the growths.
There are over-the-counter and prescription medications available for the growths. Not all, but many, of these treatments freeze the wart off but do not kill the root structure so a reoccurrence of the growths is possible. There are also side effects associated with these types of medicines.
If you are interested in basic at-home remedies there are several suggestions. One is to apply vitamin E or tea tree oil to the growth and then rub it with garlic oil. This is effective because garlic has natural anti-viral properties. One of the least costly natural wart remedies is to cut a potato and rub the growth with it. Do this at least twice a day for one or two weeks.
You can also try oral supplements such as vitamin C, vitamin E, Carotenoids, garlic, Echinacea, or zinc. These treatments are doubly useful because, besides removing warts, many of them also raise the body’s immune system and prevent growth reoccurrences.
