Planters Wart

I have a planters wart on one of my toes. Can i get it removed without surgery?
what i did was open it up and got some tweezers… and I pulled out these white thread/root things they will leave holes…and feels better when u take them out….then let it heal…then if it still hurts do the same again…eventually it will go away….thats what I did
