Plantars Warts?

Hi..I have 3 plantar’s warts on the bottom of my feet and now I am noticing another little small one developing. I I just read a method of applying duct tape to the wart and shaving it down (for a few months) and then it should go away. Has anyone heard of this? I heard it is really painful to go to the podiatrist for removal. Plus I spend the summer at the beach in the sand and then I teach in the fall where I am on my feet all day. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks!

This is kind of a funny thing that you ask this. Funny in the sense that I just had my boys to the doctor (about 2 mo. ago)& she told me about the duct tape. We tried the duct tape & had no success with it. She told us a couple of weeks should do it. It didn’t. Maybe she meant a couple of months. One son has 3 warts on his elbow, 1 is rather large. The other son has like, more than 20 on the bottom of his foot. We are going to the dermatologist for removal. I had a girl that worked for me this past year, and she had her plantar’s warts removed on the bottom of her foot by a dermatologist. This was in April 2007. She had mild pain for 2 days & then she was fine. Her job consisted of alot of standing & walking. For those 2 days, I found sitting jobs for her. Best wishes with your foot.
