Plantar Wart Treatments

Has anyone ever had a plantar wart removed?
I am nervous I am going to doc so he can look at mine. I looked online and it seems like the home treatments don’t work and having it removed by the doc is extremely painful. I was just wondering what I may be in store for.
Unfortunately yes. I had one removed from my finger about two months ago. At most dermotologists’ offices, they will give you a choice to either have it frozen with nitrogen or simply numbed and cut off rather barbarically. The numbing stings and causes it to turn black. Then begins the rather gross process of waiting for it to fall off itself. My preferred method is the latter. The only part that hurts is when they stick the needle into the surrounding skin to numb the nerves. After that, you only feel pressure as the doctor is, well, removing it, and it is gone. Good luck!
