Plantar Wart Removal Duct Tape

Plantars Warts?

Hi..I have 3 plantar’s warts on the bottom of my feet and now I am noticing another little small one developing. I I just read a method of applying duct tape to the wart and shaving it down (for a few months) and then it should go away. Has anyone heard of this? I heard it is really painful to go to the podiatrist for removal. Plus I spend the summer at the beach in the sand and then I teach in the fall where I am on my feet all day. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks!

There are lots of ways to Remove Warts, but most of them don’t work very well. You want to be especially careful with warts on the soles of your feet because you have to stand and walk on that surface, and if it gets sore or infected you’ll walk funny.

Shaving off a wart doesn’t work because the actual wart is beneath the surface of the skin. If you cut it out it will just grow back, if it doesn’t get infected first.

They sell stuff now to -freeze- warts. You can get it at the drugstore. You don’t even have to go to a doctor. I understand it works very well. That’s what a podiatrist is going to do anyway, freeze it with liquid nitrogen. I would try that before I tried to shave warts down.
