Plantar Wart Home Remedy
Before I even begin, I would like caveat this discussion with a fact that a lot of Wart Remover articles don’t want to admit. Â There is no cure for Warts. Â Just like herpes, once you have the HPVÂ virus you own it for life. Â And because of this, you may or may not have a recurring problem with warts throughout your life.
The good news is that even though you may not be able to rid yourself completely of the virus itself, you can get rid of any visible evidence of having a wart. Â In fact, you don’t even have to go to the doctor to get it frozen off, cut off or burned off. Â There are wart medications that do a pretty good job of Removing Warts fairly quickly. Â Knowing How To Get Rid Of Warts will be the difference between having a wart for months (or even years) or being able to deal with a wart quickly and effectively.
What type of wart do you have?
The most Common Wart is the common wart. Â It is raised from the skin and is most likely to be found on the hands and knees. Â I personally had one of these when I was just a teen located right on my palm.
The most embarrassing type of wart (in this author’s opinion) are the warts that seem to like to proliferate around the face and neck. Â These are the filiform and the flat wart.
The last grouping of warts are the ones that have the classic “black dots” in the middle of them. Â They are Plantar Warts and mosaic warts. Â Plantar warts are most commonly found on the bottom of the feet right around the pressure points. Â Mosaic warts are most likely to be found on the feet and hands.
Do the folk remedies work when trying to get rid of warts?
If this isn’t your first article that you have read to investigate wart removal, then chances are you have seen a lot of people touting folk remedies such as duct tape removal, cutting the wart out with a razor as well as an assortment of herbal treatments like Castor oil, or tea tree oil. Â The big question is do these types of home remedies work?
From a personal standpoint, I was able to actually cut my Wart Off but I should state that not only did it take a couple times and I had to really dig into the skin (which also meant that I was risking infection), but it was a painful process.
As an aside, in a study published by Dr. Amy Paller in which several of the home remedies were tested, it was concluded that most of the duct tape and those who tried to cut off the wart had to come into the clinic to have it treated medically because “it didn’t work”.
Other folk remedies such as tea tree oil and Castor oil work as well but usually are pretty time intensive and require you to be vigilant and dedicated. Â Most of the herbal treatments take 2-4 weeks before the wart vanishes which also leads me to the question of whether it worked because of the treatment itself or was it just time that healed the wart.
Are there any home remedies that can get rid of a wart fast?
The answer to this is kind of tricky. Â There are a lot of home Remedies For Warts that actually do work straight out of the box. Â In terms of speed, barring a visit to dermatologist (which is expensive but quick), most of the home remedies require at minimum, 7 days, with most of the homeopathic solutions taking upwards of 3 weeks. Â
Can you make your own home remedy for warts?
The answer to this question is yes, you can. Â Most of the home remedies out there are nothing more than several types of herbs that are used for wart removal. Â Most of the common herbs are tea tree oil, Â different types of plant oil and Castor oil. Â Some use corrosive or acidic properties such as bloodroot. Â While you could technically build your own Wart Home Remedy, I would probably recommend simply purchasing one though. Â Most of these companies have tested their products and have a science to the amounts of each herbal properties that go into the medication.
So, the answer is that you can get rid of your warts using a home remedy but as far as how quickly it will happen, well that is left up to you and what you view as fast. Â If you are hoping for a one day Home Remedy Wart removal system that is safe, there is none. Â I would have to recommend a dermatologist. Â However, if you don’t mind waiting for 1-4 weeks for the wart to disappear, then a herbal home remedy may be your best bet.
