Neck Warts Treatment

Many people have genital Warts whether they know it or not. Often times, people believe that this type of wart will only be found directly on the genitals. This will not always be the case, though. This type of wart can also develop near the genitals, inside the genitals, and other areas, such as the mouth or anus, that can come in contact with the genitals during sexual activity. This misconception comes from the fact that over 75% of those who carry the disease do develop warts on their genitals and also because these warts are considered a sexually transmitted disease.

So, even though these skin growths are named genital warts, they do not have to be on the genitals to be the same disease. No matter where on the body this type of wart develops they are caused by the same virus, are just as contagious, and can be just as painful or dangerous under the right circumstances. Here are ten of the most frequent places that this type of wart is found:

1) The vulva – the outer genital area on females.

2) In or near the vagina – a tube connecting the uterus, or womb, to the outer female genital area.

3) The cervix – a neck-like organ found at the bottom of the uterus which connects the uterus and the vagina.

4) In or near the anus – the outer opening of the digestive system where feces leaves the body.

5) The penis – the external male reproductive organ used for both eliminating urine and sexual intercourse.

6) The scrotum – the pouch of skin underneath the penis that holds the internal male reproductive organs.

7) The groin area – the area of the body where the legs meet the torso and where both male and female external genitalia can be found.

8) The thighs – the parts of the leg that are above the knee.

9) In or near the mouth – an opening on the face in which food is taken into the body and vocalizations leave the body.

10) The throat – an internal structure which helps to connect the mouth to the stomach and lungs.

Some of these areas can be more uncomfortable or dangerous than others. For instance, warts on the throat would be very annoying and untreated genital warts on the cervix have been known to lead to cancer.
