how long can hpv go before a wart shows up?
is it possible for a person to go 10 years without showing signs of hpv and the one day do to stress or whatever lowers their immune system they have a breakout of warts?
Yes it definitely is possible. My OB/GYN explained to me that there are lots of married women who had no symptoms for their whole marriage and then out of nowhere (could be during a pregnancy or something that lowered their immune system) come in with a breakout. It is possible that the virus stays dormant in your body for long periods of time. It is still being researched whether it can completely go away for good. Also, the person who wrote that 90% of people die from hpv is wrong. Another thing is that only a few of the strands of the virus cause genital warts so if you have a different strand you won’t even get warts.
