Genital Warts Los Angeles
Vaginal pimples look a lot like facial pimples – after all they’re still problematic, clogged pores, just like the ones on your face. However, the pimples on your genital areas can be indicating more important problems than a simple “you have low quality pores” or “you have too much sebum on your skin”.
The cause for your vaginal pimples can simply be something simple like the ones above, but in some of the cases, they might be indicating a sexually transmitted disease (STD). Which STDs cause pimples in your genital areas, and how do they manifest themselves?
1. Herpes: Herpes is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases. It is a viral infection which is mostly contracted by having sex. It manifests itself as blisters / bumps / pimples around the vagina. It most cases, there will also be a fluid vaginal discharge.
2. Warts: Genital warts are also a form of viral infection that is carried by sexual activity. They are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus, and there are over a hundred different known strains of this virus. About every one of three warts cases are in the genitalia. Warts are usually in the form of bumps which can vary in shape – from a simple bump to cauliflower shaped bigger ones. There is no total cure for warts – if you have it, you are destined to carry the virus forever. However, carrying the virus doesn’t mean having the bumps all the time – they might disappear and reappear from time to time. The visible bumps can be very effectively treated by surgery – especially cryosurgery.
Those are just two more reasons why you shouldn’t be squeezing or popping pimples. Vaginal pimples or facial – they might be infected, and you’re going to spread them to other areas if you pop them.
If from this information you feel like your case of pimples could be one of the above, you should immediately go and see your gynecologist. If they’re not STDs and are simple pimples, then you can safely treat your pimples like what they are – pimples.
While the reasons for genital pimples are usually different from facial pimples, the treatments used for one can be used to treat the other.
