Flat Wart Removal
Concerns about wart removal?
I have a wart on my middle finger near the nail. Well, I bought Equate liquid Wart Remover, and begun to use it a few days ago. My wart turned white, and I have been putting a bandage on it after I apply the Equate stuff (after it dries). Now it is day 3, and it is white and the whiteness is “flaking” away somewhat, and there are little holes in some places of the wart and you can see blood there. I don’t know if this is normal. I heard that when the wart is ready it turns black and falls off. It wasn’t a big wart, it was somewhat flat. Just to add a little detail to this. So, is this normal? What should I do?
Here is the product that I have bought:

Just in case you wanted to see exactly what it was.
Relax. It sounds like the product is doing just what it is supposed to do. It’s probably salic acid and that will gently “eat” away at the wart tissue but not hurt your skin. The “blood” you’re seeing is probably where the wart once was and your skin hasn’t had a chance to grow back over it yet.
Keep it clean and follow the directions on the package. Now if for some reason you start getting a discharge or something weeping, the area gets red and possibly swollen, please see a doctor asap. Those symptoms indicate infection and other treatment is needed. However, as long as you keep the area clean, don’t pick and keep it covered, you should be just fine; but wartless!
