Does Freezing Warts Scar
PLANTAR WARTs???
I have 3 plantar warts and i am going to get them frozen off. i have tried every other over the counter product, duct tape, nail polish, apple cider ect. for over 7 months, is freezing them off good? will i have scars ? does it hurt??
Yes, freezing hurts, and doesn’t work (at least it didn’t for me). I paid $150 for the privilege of walking with a cane for 2 weeks, and then I had MORE warts. Try this first. You will need:
1. Apple cider vinegar (pour some into a dixie cup)
2. A toothpick
3. Petroleum jelly or Carmex-type lip balm
4. A small piece of cotton
5. Medical tape
At bedtime, take the toothpick and spread the petroleum jelly on the normal skin around the wart. You should cover about 1/4 of an inch out from the wart. This will help cut down on the irritation some people experience.
Take the cotton, cut it so it fits over the wart, soak it in the vinegar, and squeeze out the excess. Put it right on the wart and cover with medical tape to keep the cotton in place. It can also help to wear socks to bed.
Repeat this every single night. Soaking the pad of a band aid in vinegar and leaving it on during the day, or using the cotton and medical tape like you do at night, will help speed things up.
Here are the stages the removal usually goes through:
1. The wart will begin to swell and throb. The pain associated with this can last for a few hours or a few days depending on the size of the wart. Some people do not feel any pain at all, and using the petroleum jelly helps reduce it. If you do get pain, take ibuprofen and ice the area.
2. The wart will develop a gray cast, then turn black. It can a few days for this to happen.
3. The wart will fall off. Usually the wart will be gone within a week. You can peel it off after it blackens, but often letting it fall off on its own will remove the core. DO NOT try to pull it off until it is totally black or you might tear your skin, get bleeding, and then will have to wait until it heals before you can resume treatment.
4. If you see another layer of wart after the scab falls off, just start over.
