Let’s face it, plantar warts on feet can be painful and problematic. They can take a long time to get rid of and the whole time you are treating them you can be in a lot of pain when walking, especially if they are located on the ball of the foot.

It you have plantar warts on your feet and have been trying to get rid of them with no success, then you might want to consider changing your methods. If treated properly plantar warts can be easily removed.

What Are Plantar Warts?

Plantars warts are named such because they occur on the bottom or “plantar” of your foot. They are usually smaller than other types of warts and can be smoother and shiny. Like other types of wart, they are caused by the Human Papilloma Virus.

The reason plantar warts on feet are so common is because they virus can live on inanimate objects such as the floor and then be spread to your skin when you walk on it without shoes. The virus loves a warm, moist environment so walking around barefoot in the gym locker room, sauna or public pool is just an invitation for these warts.

Why The Treatments You Have Tried Don’t Work

Most people turn to over the counter treatments or try to pry the wart out. The truth is that the virus that causes them can be rooted deep in the layers of your skin, so you have to get rid of the deepest layers to stop the wart from coming back. Most treatments do not do this, so you may find that your wart disappears for a while and then comes back months later.

How To Finally Get Rid Of Plantar Warts On Feet

If you really want to get rid of these warts, then you need to treat the problem at the root of the cause – the virus. While some people’s immune systems will clear it up over time, other people are not so lucky and need to take proactive measure to clear up the virus. Luckily, these measures are pretty easy, all natural, are not painful and will not leave any scarring.

How can you get rid of warts?

If I have a couple of warts on my knee then does anyone a way to get rid of them?

Traditional Treatments

The best-known over-the-counter treatments typically use the active ingredient salicylic acid. Despite its effectiveness, it can make the area around the wart tender. Since it is an acid, you’ll also want to be careful that the product is applied only to the wart and not to the surrounding skin. These chemicals also may not be appropriate if you have certain conditions, such as diabetes or circulatory problems.

Another of the common home remedies for warts is duct tape. That’s right, duct tape. Place a strip of tape directly over the wart and leave it there for about six days. After removing the tape, soak the wart, and then file it down with an emery board. Surprisingly, a 2002 study found tape therapy eliminated warts 85% of time, while standard over-the-counter treatments zapped only 60% of warts.

Despite this decidedly unconventional therapy’s effectiveness, it’s not exactly a practical solution. For example, if the wart is on the index finger of your dominant hand, a duct tape bandage might be impractical. You may also feel like a goof walking around with duct tape wrapped around a body part.

Other home-fixes for wart removal involve raiding the pantry. For example, one common grandma-endorsed remover involves a potato. Yes, the lowly spud is reputed to have power over the wart. Simply cut a raw potato and rub the cut side against the wart several times a day for at least two weeks. Although this cure has been endorsed by generations of grandmas and nanas, there is not scientific evidence to back up the claims.

Is there a cure for genetal warts?

If so let me know, and while we’re at it, is there one for Syphilis?

Genital warts are caused by HPV (Human Papillomavirus). There are over 100 different kinds of HPV, only a few though cause genital warts.

There are a few ways to get rid of the warts, but HPV will stay with you the rest of your life because it is a virus. The warts can come back. You can have them lasered off, frozen off, or use topical medication (creams). Aldara cream is very useful, but very powerful. You are only suppose to use it 3 days a week because you can get 2nd and 3rd degree burns from it. Unfortunately the only way to get Aldara is by going to the doctor and getting a prescription.

As for syphillis, antibiotic treatment with penicillin will usually cure a syphilis infection. If syphilis has progressed to the tertiary stage, antibiotics can prevent further complications, but they cannot reverse damage that has already occurred. Prompt antibiotic treatment will decrease complications and prevent the spread of the infection.

Hope this helped!
